In the dome hall, a sound installation – developed during an artistic residency at the Klanghaus Toggenburg – meets selected works from the collection. The piece blends flamenco, noise and contemporary composition, with contributors including members of Moved by the Motion, Rocío Márquez and Katia LeDoux.
This acoustic landscape is enriched by works from Marianne von Werefkin, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Nedko Solakov. Johann Adam Meisenbach’s photograph of dancers at Monte Verità links body, movement and reform culture.
From spring 2026, the intervention will extend into the print room. Themes such as identity, memory and the myth of Carmen will be explored from new angles – a multi-layered gesture curated by Raphael Gygax.
This exhibition is supported by The Leir Foundation.
